Virginia Aulin
Virginia Aulin is a strategic corporate affairs and human resources consultant with more than 25 years of experience working with US and Canadian corporations, start-ups and not-for-profits. She has held executive level roles leading Human Resources, Public Relations, Sustainability, Employee Communications and Government Affairs for companies in the natural resource, cruise and entertainment and technology sectors.
Virginia is on the Board of Create Common Good, which provides training and job coaching to those with barriers to employment, and has been a board member of a variety of other charitable organizations.
She was volunteer publishers and senior editor of Room of One’s Own, Canada’s oldest women’s literary magazine, for eight years. She has received more than 25 international communications and business awards. Her travel and golf articles and book reviews have been published in a variety of Canadian and US travel magazines and newspapers.
Virginia holds a Master of Philosophy Degree in International Relations from Oxford University in England, a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Political Science from the University of British Columbia.
Virginia started riding as an adult in the hunter/jumper discipline and has a Canadian Warmblood mare, Victoria Secret, aka Miz V. She learned about USAWE from a riding friend who helped to initiate the Treasure Valley Working Equitation Team.
Virginia serves on USAWE’s Marketing and Promotions Commitee as Western Zone’s reporter.
