Region 6 Happenings
Oak Spring Equestrian
On February 11 Region 6 Director Karen Miller and Barb Sulivan, President of Affiliate Organization Oak Spring Equestrian held a “Horseless Workshop” to introduce people to Working Equitation.
Along with Karen, Speakers included Kim Hillyer from Iron Rock Farm, and USAWE Coach Holly Linz of Keep Stables. Holly provided demo riders to show a sample of WE to people in the lovely indoor at Oak Spring.
Door prizes were donated by Another Turn Tack & Apparel and Oak Spring Equesterain. Over 75 people attended the workshop with visitors from Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware. It was a very successful venture and really hit on the fact that people are interested in learning more about W.E.
