REGION 7

I have had the privilege of serving as your Regional Director for an entire year, and it has been quite a treat. Everyone I’ve met within the Working Equitation community in our region and across the country has been a joy to get to know. I urge you to invest in this sport we all love by volunteering as a USAWE committee member or actively participating in your local Affiliate Organization. I welcome questions from anyone regarding event planning and budgeting. If you and your friends want to create your own AO, I’m always available to help answer questions and give advice. I’m here to support you in any way I can. 

Our 2025 calendar is already filling up with some exciting events. Be sure to mark your calendars for these exclusive opportunities:

• March 13-16, 2025: The highly anticipated Three Bulls Working Equitation Clinic with Doreen Atkinson and Pati Pierucci at Three Bulls Farm in Bulls Gap, TN. All rider spots have been filled, and a waiting list is already in place. However, there’s still plenty of room for auditors, so don’t miss out on this unique learning opportunity. 
• May 23-25, 2025: USAWE Licensed Show ‘Three Bulls Classic’ at Three Bulls Farm, in Bulls Gap, TN. Doreen Atkinson will be the judge, and Levels 1-7 will be offered.
• June 7-8, 2025: USAWE Licensed Show Working Equitation of North Carolina ‘Summer Solstice’, at Foothills Equestrian Nature Center (FENCE), in Tryon, NC. Susan Watkins will be the judge, and Levels 1-7 will be offered.
• October 16-19, 2025: Regions 6 and 7 Joint USAWE Regional Championship Show at Meadow Event Park in Doswell, VA. 

Your Regions 6 and 7 Directors are diligently coordinating events to avoid conflicting opportunities on the same weekend. We understand that many WE riders take advantage of events planned in both areas. When planning an event, big or small, please email the details to R7Director@usawe.org to add those opportunities to our joint calendar. Thanks for being a part of the family!
