Hello Region 6 from Holly Linz!
In the latest news, hot off the press, I’ll be filling the R6 position on an interim basis until the upcoming elections in November. Cera Olsen has stepped up to the Director at Large position until the upcoming election. With that said, please be sure to vote on the positions that are up for election this year. Voting is a very important element in the progress of our organization. Thank you for your support while I get up to speed and do my best to maintain this vital role for our membership!
The next big event on the horizon is the Eastern Zone Championships held at 3 Bulls Farm in TN. Entries close at the end of September. If you are qualified, you will be given priority. If you are not qualified, there is still a licensed show, but don’t wait too long – the deadline is quickly approaching!

Summer is coming to a close and our last WE Weekend saw many return participants. The series finishes with two schooling shows on October 13th. One in Ancramdale and one in Bloomfield.
Our licensed shows and clinic in Schaghticoke, NY (July 19-22) with Susan Watkins were events no one will soon forget. We were fortunate that Megan Malan was available to step in to teach the Friday clinic since Susan was stuck at the Atlanta airport (might I add, without luggage.) She arrived only hours before the start of the show on Saturday and was, somehow, upbeat the remainder of the weekend!

The Three Bulls Facility is a beautiful location for our Eastern Zones Championship, and there are some great activities planned for this event! It’s shaping up to be an amazing event, with the added bonus of being the first USA qualifying event for an International competition in 2025.
We’re currently planning a 2025 event coordination meeting with Region 6 and 7 AOs. I’ll send out meeting information soon!
