COLORADO
HCWE hosted the last two licensed show for 2024. They were held at Boulder County Fairgrounds (a great venue). We had 18 riders on Saturday and 17 on Sunday
HCWE’s last Schooling Show is Sept 15th.
R3 member spot light this month is Jane Brueckner from Colorado. Jane has not shown this year but has worked very hard at running the shows while working a very demanding full time job.

My daughter and I started the sport of working equitation together. I rode Rookie and Samantha rode Emerald. Both horses belong to Samantha, although I mostly rode Rookie. Rookie came into our lives at 6 years old in 2001,when Sam was 8. They had a long Morgan show career growing up together. I had a great time being a show Mom. Rookie is a once in a lifetime horse and is with his forever home with us.
I thoroughly enjoy the working equitation sport because of the versatility and the wonderful people. Rookie and I have been competing in WE for a while although with Rookie being 29, we’ve slowed down a bit. He still is doing well although he has earned his right to have relaxing days.
