Professional Development Committee

The show season may be winding down but USAWE Professional Instructors are staying busy teaching clinics and attending events. The winter is a great time to work towards new goals for 2025 so why not find a PI to help you move forward?  There are currently nineteen recognized PI’s throughout the country readily available to help riders learn or refine skills. https://usawe.org/we-community/professional-instructors/

The USAWE Professional Instructors (PI) Program is designed to develop quality Working Equitation instructors. The program requires skill in horsemanship, instruction, safety, and Working Equitation-specific education and experience. The PI program ensures that recognized USAWE Professional Instructors have the necessary skill, knowledge, and integrity to guide riders as they advance through the levels of the sport and discipline of Working Equitation.

USAWE Professional Instructors have access to their fellow instructors via networking meetings, a USAWE website listing, and continuing education opportunities available only to USAWE Professional Instructors. To find out more about the application process of becoming a PI please visit https://usawe.org/about/professional-instructors-program/. Any questions, feel free to contact Pro Dev at prodev@usawe.org
