Professional Development Committee
As we close out 2024 the Pro Dev Committee would like to share some of our highlights from the first full year of the new Professional Instructors Program. The committee is proud to recognize all that has been accomplished over 2024. Thank you to all of current PI’s for being part of this program!
- We currently have nineteen recognized Professional Instructors in six Regions.
- We had a 100% renewal rate for our first renewal in July 2024.
- Since opening the program in May 2024, we currently have thirty five new members who have applied or are in the process as professional instructor candidates. For a total of fifty four members in varying stages of the program.
The Pro Dev committee has hosted quarterly instructor focused Zoom meetings and trainings to bring our PI’s community together for education and information.

An opportunity for Continuing Education for Professional Instructors is coming up with in January with “Training the Judges Eye” Licensed Officials Seminar with WAWE judge Claudia Matos, to be held in Las Vegas, NV. All Licensed Officials, PI’s and USAWE members are invited to attend.
