REGION 7 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Morgan Osbaldeston
Horses are in Morgan’s blood – and that’s more than a turn of phrase. Ancestor Squire George Osbaldeston was Master of the Quorn Hunt in England and was in the Guinness Book of World Records for distance riding. After living (and riding!) in Canada, Australia & England, Morgan got her own first horse at the age of ten while living in Rochester, NY.
Now based in Atlanta, GA Morgan’s main sport is Hunters but after seeing Working Equitation at a BreyerFest demonstration and a subsequent back surgery, she began exploring the sport of Working Equitation. As a Region 7 member, she is currently competing on her Oldenburg gelding, Well Played “Wells”. She values the cross training that the sport brings to her young horse’s development as well as the lines of communication needed to perform successfully.
Professionally, Morgan is Director of Marketing & Communications for a hospital support services company and moonlights as a professional body clipper under the business name CLIPclop. She has a degree in Sociology with minors in Business and Nonfiction Writing from Drew University (NJ) and returns annually to support Breyer Model Horses as their “on the streets” reporter during their annual BreyerFest event.
Morgan serves on USAWE’s Marketing and Promotions Commitee as Eastern Zone’s reporter.
