Professional Development Committee
The purpose of the Professional Instructors Program is to identify, recognize, and support a roster of educated, professional, and talented instructors to benefit the sport of Working Equitation in the U.S. The Professional Development Committee achieves this goal through the development and maintenance of a rigorous recognition process, testing protocol, and continuing education.
The new Professionals Instructors (PI) Program has been launched and the Professional Development Committee is looking forward to working with new applicants on the process to become a PI. All of the information on how to begin the application process can be found athttps://usawe.org/about/professional-instructors-program/.
Currently there are nineteen Professional Instructors in five of the seven regions who are qualified to help riders reach their Working Equitation goals. All of the PI’s bio’s have been updated on the website https://usawe.org/we-community/professional-instructors/. Visit the website learn more about a PI in your region.
The ProDev committee would like to introduce Seth Marshall (R4) as the new Co-Chair to assist Sue Watkins, ProDev Chair. The next ProDev quarterly Zoom meeting will be held June 27th for current PI’s only.
Contact the Professional Development Committee (ProDev@usawe.org) with any questions, comments, or suggestions.
Sincerely,
Sue Watkins

This month Region 2 is the leader in the increase of members with Arizona the leading state! However, Region 1 is still the leader in number of members by a long shot. This month was a little slower in membership increases, but we’re still doing very well.
Keep up the good work everyone!
