OR: WE Oregon March 11-12

Event Information

Come join us at the Oregon Horse Center’s Prairie Arena for a three-phase WE show on March 11-12, 2023.
Entry Fees:
WE Show Entry Fee: $325 (includes first bag of shavings, and stabling from Friday afternoon – Sunday night. Please plan to arrive no earlier than 1 pm on Friday (honestly — NO EARLIER — if you arrive prior to 1 pm on Friday, please plan to pay a ‘haul in fee’ to OHC and amuse yourself in the main facility rather than coming to the Prairie Arena). Additional bags of shavings can be purchased on site for $10/bag.

Tack Stall: $100

(OHC Boarders who do not need stabling can request a $100 discount because they don’t need a stall)

PLEASE DO NOT BRING OUTSIDE SHAVINGS IN — we are charged an extra $35 per stall if any outside shavings are used.

Camping is available on site — please make reservations directly with the Oregon Horse Center if you are planning to camp (we do not handle the camping spot reservations at all).

To compete, riders must be current members of USAWE, and all horses must be recorded with USAWE. If you are participating for schooling only, this requirement is waived.

Judge: Erica Peet, “r”, Illinois

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Because of the need to pay in full for the facility and Judge expenses, regardless of weather or medical considerations, no refunds can be issued for this event (no exceptions).

USAWE Logo design by Alexandra Crippen of Crippen Designs.

The logo represents the four trials of Working Equitation and highlights the diversity for which the sport is known in the United States.

  • The first image depicts a mule, being ridden in western tack and attire in the Dressage trial.
  • The second image showcases an Iberian horse in traditional Iberian tack and attire performing in the EOH trial.
  • The third image shows a horse of indeterminate breeding and a rider in English tack and attire, competing in the Speed trial.
  • Together, all three riders represent a team competing together in the Cattle trial. Although the cow is not shown directly, the three teammates are working in concert. The image is intended to elicit the feeling of excitement and movement as the team moves their designated cow toward the holding pen to the far right, off the page. (Think of it as a "silent cow", much as the letter "e" at the end of a word is often referred to as "the silent 'e'" in recognition of its existence without being read aloud).
