REGION 5

Happy Spring, Region 5! Most of us have had a few rounds of “early spring” and I know we are getting excited for a great year! There is so much happening throughout Region 5.

Here are a few highlights:

We have TWO new licensed officials – Sammi Korinek (Technical Delegate – Minnesota) and Emma McClintock (Technical Delegate – Michigan). Congratulations and thank you both for all you do for our sport!

Many Region 5 members recently volunteered at a booth at the 3 day Michigan Horse Expo. There was a lot of interest and many people who picked up flyers and clinic information at the booth. Great work, Team Michigan!

We have a group of members and several AOs working together to organize a presence at the Midwest Horse Fair in Wisconsin in April. There are still volunteer opportunities available (contact me directly if you are interested – r5director@usawe.org). Fantastic work to everyone involved!

We currently have 13 two-day licensed shows planned throughout the region in 2024, along with many clinics, schooling shows, play days, camps, and other learning opportunities.

We have many Region 5 members who won National and Regional awards from 2023. Congratulations again! Please send me pictures with your awards so we can feature you on the Region 5 Facebook page.
