REGION 5

Happy Summer, Region 5!  We have had a busy few weeks across the region with shows in Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois.  Thank you to all the organizers and volunteers who made these shows happen.  

It is exciting to see many competitors already qualifying for our upcoming Regional Championship show in October.  Have questions about championships and qualifying?  Check out this link on the website for more information:  https://usawe.org/we-events/championships/.  It is also time to register for the championship show:  https://forms.gle/AnMa63UG7snPkcco7.  Entries are due by August 10 to guarantee a special commemorative shirt.  

Please join me in congratulating our wonderful Erica Peet who was recently advanced to “R” judge!  Erica is an important part of our WE community and has contributed to much of the growth across Region 5.  We are so lucky to have this wonderful judge and clinician in our region.

• July 19/20 – Fox Valley Saddle Association, Illinois (Judge – Nicole Chastain)
• July 26/27 – Rusk County Fairgrounds, Wisconsin (Judge – Polly Limond)
• August 9/10 – Mon Cheval Training Center, Minnesota (Judge – Polly Limond)
• August 16/17 – Rach Riding Academy, Michigan (Judge – Doreen Atkinson)
• September 6/7 – The Horse First Farm, Wisconsin (Judge – Rebecca Algar)

October 3-6 – Fox Valley Saddle Association (Judges – Nicole Chastain & Barbara Price)

Please know that many of these shows are expected to sell out so please don’t wait to register.  In addition to competing, there are volunteer opportunities at shows.  This is a fun way to get involved, connect with our wonderful WE community, and make a difference!
