Youth Championship Scholarship
WHO: Youth Competitors planning to attend Championships
WHAT: Scholarship is $250 towards the cost of entry fees
WHEN: Submit application by September 1st
WHY: USAWE Youth Committee supported by anonymous donations want to encourage and support youth at championship events. The scholarship intends to provide financial support to those youth who might not otherwise be able to afford to participate

Thursday, October 22nd
9:00 AM – Competitors may begin Check In 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM – Veterinary Inspections

- Championship competitors and WAWE qualifiers only.
- Equines must wear a bridle, limited to one set of reins.
- Handlers must be dressed in competition attire or comparable street attire.
- Helmets are required for Youth or Young Riders.
- An order of go will be established by level, starting with L7 in descending order. Be ready when it’s your turn.
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM –

- Dressage court and EOH primary obstacles (Bridge, Pen, Bull, and Gate) open for schooling (WAWE qualifying competitors only).
- Sound check for Masters level and WAWE qualifying riders.
4:00 PM – Opening Ceremony in FB&TC Covered Pavilion
6:00 PM – Competitor’s Briefing and Welcome Reception
Friday, October 23rd
8:00 AM – Dressage Trial (L1-L7)
6:00 PM – Competitor’s Potluck Dinner

5:45 PM – L1 Awards Ceremony
6:00 PM – L2-L5 Speed Course walk
6:30 PM – Catered Competitor’s Banquet

Special Activities
Taste of Home Competitors Potluck
Friday, October 23, 6:00 PM. Please join us Friday evening for a chance to kick back, relax, and visit with old and new friends. Please bring your favorite dish and/or dessert to share with the others for a fun night.
Sportsmanship Award
Competitors will vote throughout the weekend for the person they feel exhibits kindness to all, great sportsmanship, excellent horsemanship, and is encouraging and helpful to others. A box will be available in the Show Office for the ballots. A special award will be presented at the Awards Ceremony.
Silent Auction
There will be a Silent Auction held in the Pavilion. Silent bidding will open Friday, October 23 at 9:00 AM and will stay open until Saturday, October 24 at 6:00 PM at which time the winners will be revealed. Donations of new or like new items, as well as gift baskets, are gladly welcome. Please contact Karen Schaale at kschaale@comcast.net.
Competitor’s Banquet
There will be a catered dinner Saturday evening at 6:30 after the L2-L5 Speed Course Walk. The cost per plate will be $30. If you would like to join us, please indicate on your entry form how many tickets you would like. Additional tickets will be available in the Show Office on Thursday and Friday.
Awards Ceremony
The L1 Awards Ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 24. The L2-L7 Awards Ceremony will be held at the close of the show on Sunday. Winners will be recognized and awarded their rosettes and prizes. We ask that all Champions and Reserve Champions and their animals (either in hand or under saddle) be present for photos.
