My heart swells with excitement to witness all the Working Equitation activities happening across Region 7! We continue to have events on a regular, monthly basis, including clinics, schooling shows, and licensed competitions. This is something many of us only dreamed about just a couple of years ago.
Over the weekend of July 20-21, South Eastern Working Equitation (SEWE) hosted a very successful clinic and a schooling show, featuring Rebecca Algar as the clinician/judge. Congratulations to Susan MacRae, at Dreamcatcher Farm in Aiken, SC, for a magnificent weekend. It was wonderful to see many interested fans coming out to watch, especially on show day. Congratulations to the division champions and we all look forward to the next event at beautiful Dreamcatcher Farm:

The inaugural Wild at Heart Ranch Working Equitation Shows #1 and #2, are scheduled for the weekend of August 24-25, at the Chicopee Agricultural Center in Gainesville, GA, with Rebecca Algar (USAWE ‘S’) judging. Both shows are full, and the final preparations are currently being completed. Mark your calendar to come watch and cheer on your favorite teams while making new friends.
The third Train To Win clinic will be held, September 6-8, 2024 at Three Bull Farms, with instruction by Sr. Gilberto Filipe (Portugal). Train to Win clinics provide educational opportunities for all USAWE members as auditors. USAWE members competing in Level 5 through Level 7 are offered unique learning opportunities in Train to Win clinics which are designed to prepare them for international-level competition. Working Equitation of North Carolina is assisting the team with the Centerline Show Series manage their first venture into the Working Equitation world. Over the weekend of September 21-22, Jane Renner and Jody Fontanetta, upper-level competitors and clinicians, will offer dressage and obstacle instruction on Saturday, and then judge the schooling show scheduled for Sunday. Of course, the jewel of the competition season is the 2024 Eastern Zone Championship, happening October 3-6, at Three Bulls Farm in Bulls Gap, TN. The elite judges panel for the weekend includes USAWE Senior Judge, Polly Limond (NC), USAWE Senior Judge, Nicole Chastain (CA) and WAWE Judge, Fiona Price (UK). Join us for an unforgettable event celebrating the skill, precision, and elegance of Working Equitation. Don’t miss the chance to see top riders and horses in action and enjoy a weekend full of equestrian excellence. Registration for the October Working Equitation Clinic and Schooling Show at Shining Hope Farms/Conover is now open. Shining Hope Farms is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to enable children and adults to reach their full potential using equine-assisted activities and therapies. This is their second benefit show of the year with the proceeds being used for their many therapeutic riding programs. The clinic with USAWE “S” judge, Polly Limond, is scheduled for Friday, October 11th, with the WE Schooling Show, on Saturday, October 12th.
