We’re fortunate to have such a robust interest in our beloved sport in R2.  As highlighted in previous months, there are many opportunities to show, school, play, learn and connect.  Keep an eye on our R2 Facebook page for upcoming events, and please send in anything you’d like to have highlighted!

So now, here’s the ask:  we are looking for ways to continue to grow this sport.  One good way is to offer affordable events for folks to learn about Working Equitation and to try it out.  This could include playdays, schooling shows, demonstrations at events, etc.  

Have you considered hosting an event?  We are here to help.  We have many experienced show managers and event hosts who can guide you through the process of putting on a schooling (or Licensed!) show.  There are many Professional Instructors in our Region – they love sharing their knowledge, so consider a clinic or even a playday led by one of them.  Riders of all levels love showing off the sport, so let’s plan some demonstrations.  Let us know about upcoming expos, shows in other disciplines that might be great for cross marketing.  Our sport encompasses the best of all the disciplines of Dressage, Ranch Riding, Western Dressage, etc.  How can we show riders from those disciplines that WE is for EVERYONE?  

Give it some thought – how can you, our most valuable, persuasive and passionate spokespeople, help get the word out?  Your Board, Committees, Professional Instructors and Licensed Officials are here to help, just let us know how.
