Originally from Michigan, Bree Sprik has been an avid rider for over 30 years and working as a professional for over 20. She achieved her USDF bronze and silver medals on her beloved draft cross, Dante. She is a USDF “L” graduate with distinction who has also had a successful show career in show jumping, western riding – trail class in particular, and has dabbled in eventing and fox hunting.

In 2019 Bree became active in the sport of Working Equitation. She has successfully competed through L6 (advanced) in WE, She is a USAWE Professional Instructor, co-founder of NYSWE, and regularly gives clinics around the northeast region in both dressage and working equitation.

Bree Sprik has built a successful lesson and training program called BR Sporthorses, based in Ancramdale, New York. She enjoys teaching her students to become their own horsemen/women, critical thinkers rather than lesson takers. It is a never ending learning journey and it will never be complete. She encourages her students to ride and show if that is what they wish to do but above all she wants to teach them to listen to their horse, appreciate the small victories, and develop a relationship and foundation to build on for their entire career together.

In 2024 Bree Sprik hopes to debut her homebred Oldenburg, Anakin, a 2019 model, to the world of WE. She lives in Ancram, New York where she resides with her son, husband, 2 dogs, cats, horses, and chickens.
