Located in Cave Creek, Arizona, Ashley stays active in the Working Equitation and Competitive Dressage communities. She is a USAWE Lifetime Achievement medalist. She has been year end Champion in Region 2 and State numerous times in WE. She has also won year end high points with the Arizona Dressage Association. Her business, Rising Phoenix Equestrian, has hosted and managed many WE shows and offers training, sales, breeding, showing, coaching and more. They breed Andalusians and Lusitanos. Schooling horses of different levels are available for lessons on site. Beginners, all levels and all ages are welcome.

Ashley is a licensed TD with USAWE and was one of the first to be licensed in the country with the previous WE national organizations. She has delegated shows throughout the US and in Canada, and offers Working Equitation clinics as well. She was the official TD instructor at the 2019 Licensed Officials Seminar in San Diego and is available for classrooms.

Ashley previously served as the Region 2 Director, for three years, for one of the previous WE national organizations and she was the 2020 President of the Arizona Working Equitation Club. She also previously served on the merger committee when the USAWE was first being established.

Ashley is an active competitor with her team and sponsors. With a background in performing she uses great memorization techniques in her instructions to help make the strategy of the sport a bit simpler.

The logo represents the four trials of Working Equitation and highlights the diversity for which the sport is known in the United States. 

  • The first image depicts a mule, being ridden in western tack and attire in the Dressage trial.
  • The second image showcases an Iberian horse in traditional Iberian tack and attire performing in the EOH trial.
  • The third image shows a horse of indeterminate breeding and a rider in English tack and attire, competing in the Speed trial.
  • Together, all three riders represent a team competing together in the Cattle trial. Although the cow is not shown directly, the three teammates are working in concert. The image is intended to elicit the feeling of excitement and movement as the team moves their designated cow toward the holding pen to the far right, off the page. (Think of it as a "silent cow", much as the letter "e" at the end of a word is often referred to as "the silent 'e'" in recognition of its existence without being read aloud).
