Our mission is to advance the sport of Working Equitation by empowering riders through education, fostering inclusive community outreach, and organizing competitions that honor the welfare of the horse and the principles of good horsemanship.
USAWE Membership
USA Working Equitation (USAWE) supports its members by cultivating a vibrant community built around education, competition, and connection. As the national governing body for Working Equitation in the U.S., USAWE provides:

Access to Sanctioned Competitions
Members can participate in sanctioned USAWE competitions, earn regional and national rankings, and progress through the levels with recognized achievements. Members are eligible to compete internationally as individuals or on a team.
Youth Development
Youth members are eligible for special events and grants and are eligible to compete internationally as an individual or on a team.
Breed Awards & Sponsors
USAWE has attracted the gracious attention of breed sponsors to highlight the achievements of the many breeds competing within USAWE.
Community & Connection
Through regional groups, events, and collaborative initiatives, members engage with like-minded equestrians who share a passion for Working Equitation
