We’ll have obstacles that will not be part of Sunday’s show\, and things will be set up in different places. \nSunday morning – everyone will help set the official course\, followed by a course walk with the judge — the judge will walk participants through expectations for each of the obstacles\, as well as answer questions. \nOnce the course walk is over\, we’ll run the Ease of Handling trial. Participants will either compete or ride a schooling ride. The veterinarian reserves the right to take temperatures and might request that you lunge the horse on a circle to confirm soundness. \nAWARDS CEREMONY – in show clothes\, with horses for photos\, please. Regional Championships are a BIG DEAL! \nAWARDS\nChampionship – neck sashes for overall placings\, Champion – 6th place in each level and division. \nA-Rated Show – rosettes 1st – 5th for overall placings in each level and division. \nLevels Offered:\nIntroductory – Masters \nDivisions Offered:\nJunior\, Amateur\, Open \nTwo “Best Turned-Out Horse/Rider” awards will be selected by the two judges: one for English and the other for Western riders. DESCRIPTION:These will be two back-to-back B-Rated Working Equitation competitions\, licensed by USA Working Equitation. \nEntry Fee: $250 to participate in one show; $350 to participate in two! \nTack Stall: $100 \n(OHC Boarders who do not need stabling can request a $100 discount because they don’t need a stall) \nJust-for-fun Leadline modified Ease of Handling: $10 \nEntry fees include first bag of shavings\, and stabling from Friday\, 3 pm (honestly — NO EARLIER — if you arrive prior to 4 pm on Friday\, please plan to pay a ‘haul in fee’ to OHC and amuse yourself in the main facility rather than coming to the Prairie Arena). Additional bags of shavings can be purchased on site for $10/bag. \nPLEASE DO NOT BRING OUTSIDE SHAVINGS IN — we are charged an extra $35 per stall if any outside shavings are used. \nCamping is available on site — please make reservations directly with the Oregon Horse Center if you are planning to camp (we do not handle the camping spot reservations at all). \nJudge: Cari Schwartz\, R\, Oregon \nIMPORTANT NOTE: \nDue to COVID-19\, I will not be collecting money in advance. If you feel at all unwell\, please stay home. Also\, masks will be required at all times when inside buildings (except when actually mounted on your horse) and whenever you are unable to maintain at least six feet distance from others.
