In addition\, we’ll be offering a cattle clinic on Friday before the show. This is a great opportunity to learn more about working with cattle in a low-stress\, supportive environment. \nThe first 15 people who register and pay in full will have the option of competing in TWO competitions over the weeekend. After that\, opportunity to compete in both shows will depend on availability / time. \n\nAll competing riders must be members of USAWE\, and all competing horses must have a horse recording number issued by USAWE to participate. Those participating as schooling rides only do not need to be members/have horse recording numbers. \nEntry Fee: $250 for one show; $150 additional to add a second show (if spots are available); $75 per spot in the Cattle Clinic (available both Thursday and Friday)\, $50 for Cattle Trial on Sunday\nStabling: $25 per day \nBedding: $15 per bag (or wheelbarrow\, if the facility opts to provide bulk bedding)\nStall Cleaning Deposit: $75 – will be refunded within one week after the competition provided you strip your stall completely prior to departure. \nCamping is available on site for $40/night with electric; $25 dry camping. \nJudges: \nBarbara Price\, R\, CA\nTracey Erway\, r\, OR\n\nIMPORTANT NOTE:\nRefunds (less a $75 processing fee) are only possible for illness (horse or human) with medical verification.

DESCRIPTION:We are soliciting applications to participate as a demo rider (Friday\, August 16) and/or competitor (Saturday/Sunday\, August 17 & 18) at our upcoming Judge Training and Calibration session being held at the Oregon Horse Center’s Prairie Arena.\n\nThe purpose of the Judge Training event is to provide an opportunity for current licensed judges to continue to refine their skills through structured activities under the guidance of a highly-respected international WAWE judge\, António Vicente\, from Portugal.\n\nMore information about the seminar will be shared by the Licensed Officials Committee once they have finalized details. The seminar will include one day of lecture /discussion of videos held at the Holiday Inn and Suites on Kruse Lane in Springfield Thursday\, August 15)\, and one day of watching / discussing live demo riders held at the Prairie Arena at the Oregon Horse Center (Friday\, August 16)\, followed by two\, back-to-back one day licensed competitions\, also at OHC’s Prairie Arena (August 17-18).\n\nThe Saturday competition will give judges attending the event the opportunity to listen to the presiding judge’s comments and scores. The Sunday competition will give them the chance to score the rides as part of a calibration exercise that is part of the requirements for promotion as a judge. Kimberlee is a recognized Working Equitation Coach in USAWE’s Coaches Network\, has earned her USAWE Pewter\, Bronze\, Silver\, and Platinum Medals. Kimberlee is currently only the third person in the U.S. to have earned a Platinum Medal and the first to earn it with the new stricter requirements through USAWE. A graduate with distinction of the USDF “L” Judge Education Program\, Kimberlee has earned her USDF Bronze and Silver Medals and has nearly completed her Gold.\n\nKimberlee is known for taking “non-traditional” dressage horses up the levels\, and her most recent dressage partner\, RedPrairie Storm (Dales Pony) earned the Reserve Champion placing in the Oregon Dressage Society’s 2021 State Championships in the Training Level Open Division\, as well as being the high point horse\, out of all breeds\, competing in WE in 2023. Kimberlee and her long-term dressage partner Gladheart Black Harris (Morgan) are currently competing at Prix St. Georges and plan to compete at Grand Prix in 2024.\n\nRecognizing that Working Equitation uses dressage principles to create a relaxed\, athletic\, and obedient horse in both traditional dressage work and in dressage through obstacles\, Kimberlee believes that this sport creates the ultimate harmonious relationship with the horse. She enjoys working with all breeds of horses and teaches students from Introductory to Masters in Working Equitation\, and Training Level to FEI in Dressage. DESCRIPTION:Come join us for a 1.5 day WE Clinic (come for all or part) taught by Masters Level WE competitor and USAWE Platinum medalist Kimberlee Barker\, followed by a two-day WE show at the the Oregon Horse Center’s Prairie Arena \, with the option for follow-up private lessons with “S” judge Rebecca Algar in Corvallis\, OR on Monday!\n\nClinic – March 7 – 8\nCompetition – March 9-10\n\nAbout our Thursdsay/Friday clinician:\nKimberlee Barker is a Masters Level Working Equitation and USDF Grand Prix Dressage rider\, trainer\, and competitor. Kimberlee is a recognized Working Equitation Coach in USAWE’s Coaches Network\, has earned her USAWE Pewter\, Bronze\, Silver\, and Platinum Medals. Kimberlee is currently only the third person in the U.S. to have earned a Platinum Medal and the first to earn it with the new stricter requirements through USAWE. A graduate with distinction of the USDF “L” Judge Education Program\, Kimberlee has earned her USDF Bronze and Silver Medals and has nearly completed her Gold.\n\nKimberlee is known for taking “non-traditional” dressage horses up the levels\, and her most recent dressage partner\, RedPrairie Storm (Dales Pony) earned the Reserve Champion placing in the Oregon Dressage Society’s 2021 State Championships in the Training Level Open Division. Kimberlee and her long-term dressage partner Gladheart Black Harris (Morgan) are currently competing at Prix St. Georges and plan to compete at Grand Prix in 2024.\n\nRecognizing that Working Equitation uses dressage principles to create a relaxed\, athletic\, and obedient horse in both traditional dressage work and in dressage through obstacles\, Kimberlee believes that this sport creates the ultimate harmonious relationship with the horse. She enjoys working with all breeds of horses and teaches students from Introductory to Masters in Working Equitation\, and Training Level to FEI in Dressage. Kimberlee judges and teaches clinics in both Working Equitation and Dressage and is based in Corvallis\, Oregon.\n\nEntry Fees:\nThursday WE Clinic Small Group Obstacle Session (4 or fewer people) 90-minute session on Thursday\, followed by open schooling on obstacles once clinic is over (approximately 5 pm) – $150/person\nFriday WE Clinic Private Dressage Lesson 30-minute private session on Friday – $75/person\nBOTH Small Group Obstacles on Thursday & Private Dressage Lesson on Friday – $200\nStabling for Clinic (from Wednesday at 2 pm – Friday at 1 pm\, when we transition to show stabling) – $75 includes 1 bag of shavings\n \n\nSaturday/Sunday WE Show Entry Fee: $300 (includes 1 bag of shavings\, and stabling from Friday 1 pm – Sunday night.
