DESCRIPTION:This is a two-day event geared towards learning\, going deeper into WE with Barbara Price\, a past S WE Judge. Each rider will receive a semi-private dressage lesson. Then the dressage schooling show will follow to try out what we learned with feedback from Barbara. The same format for the EOH is followed. An extensive walk through of the EOH course helps us all better understand the obstacles and better ways to ride the course from a judge’s perspective. \nTentative Schedule \n8:00 am Saturday morning\, semi-private lessons.\n1:30 pm Saturday afternoon\, dressage schooling show.\n4:00 pm Saturday later afternoon EOH course walk through.\n6:00 pm Dinner at a restaurant.\n8:00 am Sunday morning\, semi-private EOH lessons.\n1:30 pm Saturday afternoon\, EOH schooling show.\nSaturday later afternoon\, Speed Schooling Show. \nA limit of 10 riders to allow for semi-private lessons. \nThe facility has a lovely indoor arena\, a warm-up arena that is covered\, and stalls and electrical hook-ups for trailers. \nWe will all have dinner together Saturday night. \nThe cost is $425 per person for the clinic/schooling show.\nStalls are $20 a night.\nElectrical hookups are $25. \nWe have just two spots left.

DESCRIPTION:Friday afternoon and all day Saturday – Clinic\nJoin our clinician\, Jody Fontanetta\, for a private or a small group lesson\, your choice\, focusing on how the principles of classical dressage apply to Working Equitation. If you are newer to WE\, Jody can help you understand how dressage fundamentals translate to riding obstacles in the Ease of Handling trial. If you’re already competing\, she can help fine tune your developed skills in an effort to increase your scores at your next show. Private lessons will be for a 30-minute duration\, a pair of teams will ride for an hour\, and three riders for 90 minutes. \nSunday – Show\nThe show will be conducted and judged in accordance with rules of USA Working Equitation\, with an allowance made for disqualifications. No rider will be disqualified for an error made on course but instead will be given a “zero” for that obstacle with an explanation provided of what was done to typically receive a DQ. Levels 1-4 will be offered and judged.

DESCRIPTION:To enter: https://forms.gle/ogFAgoaPW9wNdm6o8 \nJoin us this spring for two days of intensive learning\, followed by two one-day WE shows (which you can participate in as either a schooling ride to extend your learning from Camp or as a competitor\, to earn awards and points toward USAWE year-end and lifetime awards)\, hosted by Fox Valley Saddle Association\, an official Affiliate Organization of USAWE. \n\nNo prior Working Equitation experience necessary!\n\nOur primary goal in offering this event is to continue to grow the supportive and fun working equitation community in Region 5.\n\nWe are hoping to welcome our “old faithful” crew of regular participants AND draw in at least ten people who haven’t yet participated in our WE events at Fox Valley Saddle Association.\n\nIf you have ever thought about giving Working Equitation a try\, but were not sure how to get started\, THIS is your opportunity!\n\nIf you’re an “old faithful” who is looking forward to shaking off the cobwebs after a winter of less intensive involvement\, THIS is your opportunity!\n\nThe competitions will be licensed by USA Working Equitation\, but you can also participate as a schooling rider (no memberships needed). \nDraft Schedule  \nWednesday — Move in (ideally between 4:30 and 6 pm). 6:00 pm – Help set up obstacles in the indoor arena in preparation for Thursday.\nThursday – Small group obstacle lessons throughout the morning; Obstacle schooling in the afternoon; early evening lecture with video on judge expectations (with pizza!)\nFriday – Small group obstacle lessons throughout the morning; A focus on WE dressage in the afternoon.\nSaturday – Show #1\nSunday – Show #2\n\nCost for Camp + Show(s)\n$650 for the camp AND both days of showing (includes stabling Wednesday 4:30 PM – Sunday end of show)\n\nCost for Only Camp\n$400 for the camp alone (includes stabling Wednesday 4:30 PM – Friday 5 pm)\n\nCost for Only Show(s)\n$300 to participate in one day of showing without the camp (includes stabling the night prior to your show and the day of your show)\n$400 to participate in both days of showing (includes stabling from Friday 5 pm – Sunday end of show)\n\nTack Stall\n$25/day \nJust-for-fun Leadline modified Ease of Handling during show(s) (great for young riders and/or young horses!): $10\n\nBRING A FRIEND DISCOUNT FOR FULL CAMP & BOTH SHOWS\nRecruit a person who has never participated in a FVSA WE Show before\, and EACH of you will receive $100 discount for this event. Note – both of you should request the discount when you sign up. The discount will be given\, in cash\, at the event (in case of last-minute cancellations). The discount only applies for people who participate with a horse in both the Camp and both shows. You can school at the show(s) rather than compete if you’d like.\n\nCamping spots with electrical hookups are available on site for an additional charge of $30/day\, and there is plenty of room for “dry camping” without electricity. \nTo compete\, riders must be current members of USAWE\, and all horses must be recorded with USAWE. DESCRIPTION:Come join us for a 1.5 day WE Clinic (come for all or part) taught by Masters Level WE competitor and USAWE Platinum medalist Kimberlee Barker\, followed by a two-day WE show at the the Oregon Horse Center’s Prairie Arena \, with the option for follow-up private lessons with “S” judge Rebecca Algar in Corvallis\, OR on Monday!\n\nClinic – May 23 – 24\nCompetition – May. 25-26\n\nAbout our Thursdsay/Friday clinician:\nKimberlee Barker is a Masters Level Working Equitation and USDF Grand Prix Dressage rider\, trainer\, and competitor. Kimberlee is a recognized Working Equitation Coach in USAWE’s Coaches Network\, has earned her USAWE Pewter\, Bronze\, Silver\, and Platinum Medals. Kimberlee is currently only the third person in the U.S. to have earned a Platinum Medal and the first to earn it with the new stricter requirements through USAWE. A graduate with distinction of the USDF “L” Judge Education Program\, Kimberlee has earned her USDF Bronze and Silver Medals and has nearly completed her Gold.\n\nKimberlee is known for taking “non-traditional” dressage horses up the levels\, and her most recent dressage partner\, RedPrairie Storm (Dales Pony) earned the Reserve Champion placing in the Oregon Dressage Society’s 2021 State Championships in the Training Level Open Division. Kimberlee and her long-term dressage partner Gladheart Black Harris (Morgan) are currently competing at Prix St. Georges and plan to compete at Grand Prix in 2024.\n\nRecognizing that Working Equitation uses dressage principles to create a relaxed\, athletic\, and obedient horse in both traditional dressage work and in dressage through obstacles\, Kimberlee believes that this sport creates the ultimate harmonious relationship with the horse. She enjoys working with all breeds of horses and teaches students from Introductory to Masters in Working Equitation\, and Training Level to FEI in Dressage. Kimberlee judges and teaches clinics in both Working Equitation and Dressage and is based in Corvallis\, Oregon.\n\nEntry Fees:\nThursday WE Clinic Small Group Obstacle Session (4 or fewer people) 90-minute session on Thursday\, followed by open schooling on obstacles once clinic is over (approximately 5 pm) – $150/person\nFriday WE Clinic Private Dressage Lesson 30-minute private session on Friday – $75/person\nBOTH Small Group Obstacles on Thursday & Private Dressage Lesson on Friday – $200\nStabling for Clinic (from Wednesday at 2 pm – Friday at 1 pm\, when we transition to show stabling) – $75 includes 1 bag of shavings\n \n\nSaturday/Sunday WE Show Entry Fee: $300 (includes 1 bag of shavings\, and stabling from Friday 1 pm – Sunday night.
