DESCRIPTION:Come join us for a fantastic weekend show\, complete with cattle handling clinics on Thursday and Friday and a Cattle Trial on Sunday!\n\nEnter online at: https://forms.gle/7WtCyVmNrBUb7gv58\nThis Working Equitation competition is licensed by USA Working Equitation and will take place at the beautiful WW facility in Milton-Freewater\, Oregon (just south of Walla Walla\, WA)\, the heart of eastern Oregon/Washington’s Wine Country. In addition\, we’ll be offering a cattle clinic on Friday before the show. This is a great opportunity to learn more about working with cattle in a low-stress\, supportive environment. \nThe first 15 people who register and pay in full will have the option of competing in TWO competitions over the weeekend. After that\, opportunity to compete in both shows will depend on availability / time. \n\nAll competing riders must be members of USAWE\, and all competing horses must have a horse recording number issued by USAWE to participate. Those participating as schooling rides only do not need to be members/have horse recording numbers. \nEntry Fee: $250 for one show; $150 additional to add a second show (if spots are available); $75 per spot in the Cattle Clinic (available both Thursday and Friday)\, $50 for Cattle Trial on Sunday\nStabling: $25 per day \nBedding: $15 per bag (or wheelbarrow\, if the facility opts to provide bulk bedding)\nStall Cleaning Deposit: $75 – will be refunded within one week after the competition provided you strip your stall completely prior to departure. \nCamping is available on site for $40/night with electric; $25 dry camping. \nJudges: \nAmy Star\, R\, AZ\nErica Peet\, r\, IL\n\nIMPORTANT NOTE:\nRefunds (less a $75 processing fee) are only possible for illness (horse or human) with medical verification.

SUMMARY:WI: The Sunrise Ranch Buckle Series
DESCRIPTION:May 10/11\, June 7/8\, July 12/13\, Aug 30/31\, Oct 11/1 \nThis is a schooling show buckle series. Each of the five weekends will include a Saturday WE clinic or lessons and a Sunday WE schooling show and have a different USAWE instructor/judge. The SRR may offer a cattle clinic on the Friday before. Placings for the buckle series will be from the cumulative score of each rider’s three best rides in the series. Come join in this low-pressure fun way to engage in Working Equitation!

SUMMARY:IL: WE Clinic at Fox Valley Saddle Association
DESCRIPTION:In response to the incredible excitement our May clinic/competition combo has generated\, we’re delighted to offer another clinic/show combination at Fox Valley Saddle Association!\n\nPriority for the clinic will be for those new to the sport (for the purpose of this clinic\, defined as a horse/rider pair that has competed in 2 or fewer Working Equitation competitions). We’ll start by filling clinic spots with people who have limited (or no) experience in WE. After June 20\, we will fill remaining clinic spots with more experienced WE riders. The time stamp when your online entry is received will establish the order in which you’ll be added to the clinic spots as they become available.\n\nClinicians: \nJulie Alonzo has been actively involved in Working Equitation since 2010 and has competed at L1 – L5 on a variety of horses. She regularly travels to Portugal to enhance her knowledge of the sport and has attended multiple judge seminars taught by international WE judges. A USAWE Technical Delegate\, Julie has taught over 125 clinics in locations as distant as Australia and Canada as well as Alaska\, California\, Oregon\, Washington\, Idaho\, Montana\, Illinois\, Nebraska\, Louisiana\, New York\, Michigan\, Missouri\, Texas\, Utah\, and Florida.\n\nKristine Strasburger is a USAWE Technical Delegate and has taught Introductory Working Equitation clinics in Idaho\, Montana\, and Nebraska. She has competed in L1 and L2. She attended a four-day Judge Seminar taught by WAWE International Judge Antonio Vicente\, from Portugal in August of 2024 and will be spending 2 days at an Immersive Educational Event in Portugal this May\, where she’ll be learning from WAWE International Judges while watching a Portuguese WE competition\, before spending five days taking WE lessons at one of the most successful competitive WE barns in Portugal.\n\nClinic Structure: \n8 – 9 AM – Introductory Lecture in the Fox Valley Clubhouse – an overview of the sport and what judges are looking for.\n9:15 – 9:45 – On foot instruction on the obstacles (no horses yet)\n\n10 – 11 Group 1 Obstacles (4 people / 2 instructors)\n11 – 12 Group 2 Obstacles (4 people / 2 instructors)\n\n12 – 12:45 Lunch\n\n1 – 2 Group 3 Obstacles  (4 people / 2 instructors)\n2 – 3 Group 4 Obstacles  (4 people / 2 instructors)\n\n3:15 – 3:45 Group Lesson – Learn the L1 Dressage Test (8 people / 2 instructors)\n3:45 – 4:15 Group Lesson – Learn the L1 Dressage Test (8 people / 2 instructors)\n\nClinic Entry Fee:\n$75 per horse/rider\n$35 per stall (available from 5:30 pm Thursday). (meals will be available for purchase for family/friends as well). \n\n\nWE Oregon Youth rider sponsorship – $100 off youth entries if entering both shows! \nTack Stall: $100 \nJust-for-fun Leadline modified Ease of Handling: $10 (suitable for young horses or riders who are not yet ready to go it alone). \n\n\nCamping spots with electrical hookups are available on site for an additional charge of $30/day\, and there is plenty of room for “dry camping” without electricity.To compete\, riders must be current members of USAWE\, and all horses must be recorded with USAWE.
