DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss out on the 2022 Fall Working Equitation Licenced Shows at the Sunrise Ranch. For this weekend we are flying in the world-renowned W.E. judge Rebecca Algar originally from Australia\, now head trainer at El Lobo Ranch at Ocala\, Florida. \nRebecca Algar has been active in Working Equitation since its debut in the United States nearly ten years ago and has risen to the top in this sport as both a comparator and judge. \nPlease scroll to the bottom of this post for her fascinating full bio! It is an honor to have an equestrian of this expertise and experience come judge our fall WE shows and instruct on the Friday prior! \nPlease note\, the 2022 Sunrise Ranch Fall Working Equitation shows are two full separate events\, one on Saturday\, and one on Sunday. We offer this specifically for those wanting to make the most of the weekend and compete both days. \nBesides the standard Ease of Handling obstacle course\, Dressage test\, and Speed Challenge\, we will be offering the Cattle Trial each day. Each “entry” will have 3 minutes to showcase their moves and creativity in a costume musical freestyle. The rides will be judged holistically for their creativity\, artistic impression\, and quality of the movements. \nTack Stall: $100 \n(OHC Boarders who do not need stabling can request a $100 discount because they don’t need a stall) \nPLEASE DO NOT BRING OUTSIDE SHAVINGS IN — we are charged an extra $35 per stall if any outside shavings are used. \nCamping is available on site — please make reservations directly with the Oregon Horse Center if you are planning to camp (we do not handle the camping spot reservations at all). \nTo compete\, riders must be current members of USAWE\, and all horses must be recorded with USAWE. DESCRIPTION:Come join us for a three-phase WE show on Saturday (Dressage\, Ease of Handling\, & Speed) and then stay over to learn the new WE Dressage tests from Polly Limond\, one of the “Senior” Judges who created them! These are the dressage tests that we’ll be using starting with our January 2023 show\, so this is a great opportunity to get a jump start on the new competition season! \nSaturday’s competition will be licensed by USA Working Equitation. You horse MUST be recorded with USAWE to compete.\nWe can accommodate a maximum of 23 riders in Saturday’s show and 16 riders in Sunday’s clinic.\n\nEntry Fees:\nSaturday WE Show Entry Fee: $250 (includes first bag of shavings\, and stabling from Friday\, 1 pm (honestly — NO EARLIER — if you arrive prior to 1 pm on Friday\, please plan to pay a ‘haul in fee’ to OHC and amuse yourself in the main facility rather than coming to the Prairie Arena).
